Charles Taveras was born in the United States. At the age of three his parents decided to move to the Dominican Republic and he spent most of his life there. After high school he went to university for Graphic Design to pursue an Associates degree in Universidad APEC, Dominican Republic.

 

            In 2009 he joined the United States Army and was an infantryman for four years, during which time he was deployed to Iraq. After the military, he decided to go back to school to pursue his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography at the Miami International University of Art & Design. He now lives in Fort Lauderdale Florida working as an artist, and volunteering his time to help other veterans acclimatize and move forward.
